SUMMER HOLIDAY PLAYCLUB
PRE-BOOKING PERIOD NOW OPEN

All the Holiday Playclubs are available from Monday 1st August to Friday 2nd September.

Green Park Holiday Playclub will not be open from Wednesday 27th July to Friday 29th July, or on Friday 5th August.
However, The Hill and Waterloo Meadows will be available on these days
.

Guidance for the new booking system can be found by clicking here, or under 'Documents' on the Reading Play homepage. By using this booking system, you do not need to complete the usual registration and booking forms, as the online system covers everything in these forms.

We can accept completed Booking Forms that have been scanned and sent to us via email, these need to be sent to the usual address: reading.play@reading.gov.uk. Please note that we can only accept emailed booking forms during the pre-booking period only.

The pre-booking closing date is Wednesday 20th July so please ensure we receive your booking form and payment by this date to avoid disappointment. If you do not receive confirmation within seven days of sending your booking, please contact us to ensure your booking has been received and processed.

Reading Childcare Survey 2016

Below are the instructions for finding the Play Day option on the Civic Website.

    1. Under ‘Payment Type’, click ‘Service Pay’.
    2. From the ‘Please select a service to pay for and click 'Select' button’ drop down list, click ‘Play Day – 05/08/2016’. Then click ‘Select’.
    3. Enter the quantity of tickets you would like to purchase, then click ‘Calculate’ to confirm.
    4. Click ‘Add to List’, then click ‘Pay’ to complete your booking.

    Once you have made the booking, you will receive an email confirmation. You will then need to present your email confirmation on the day in order for you to claim your entry wristbands. The wristbands will allow you access to everything on offer at Play Day.

    Only one wristband per person; and there is no charge for children less than 1 year old. For example, a family of four would require four tickets, however, if one of the four is less than 1 year old then only three tickets would need to be purchased.

    We have a limited number of tickets available so book now via our website to avoid disappointment. Free parking is available on the day.

    PLAYWORKERS WANTED

    Supply Playworkers:
    RG2 sp 11-15 (£7.88- £8.59 per hour)

    Supply Community Playworker:
    RG3 sp 15-21 (£8.59 – £10.23 per hour)

    Working Pattern: Flexible Hours, Part Time, Contract

    Hours: Casual, as and when required

    We have exciting opportunities to be involved in working within our team to provide sports and play sessions in primary Schools and our childcare settings. We require responsible individuals who have a passion in children’s development.

    The Reading Play Service provides childcare and play opportunities for 0 to 12 year old children across the borough.

    Positions are available to support the running of school playtime sessions, SEN support, after school sports clubs, PPA support and 0-5 sessions. We also operate 6 childcare settings including holiday play clubs and offer sports coaching sessions.

    Please do not send a CV. For the purposes of equal opportunities, we can only accept Reading Borough Council application forms.

    DBS checks required for this post, safeguarding training provided on induction. An NVQ in play work desirable but not essential, and a full driving license and ability to travel would be an advantage.
