Reload - Laser Clay Shooting are now based at The Outpost!

Reload is a brand new target sport venue based at The Outpost, offering you the chance to test your shooting ability in a family friendly, chilled atmosphere. Reload can cater to all sorts of occasions from stag and hen parties to corporate team building. To find out more and to book, please visit the Reload website.

We have come to an agreement with Simply The Best Events for them to hold their Labyrinth Challenge at The Outpost from Saturday 20th May to Sunday 4th June. The Labyrinth Challenge features the world's longest inflatable obstacle course at over 1,000ft long.

Right now we're looking at a few opportunities to make the most of the land and make the offer of The Outpost as appealing as possible. When something has been confirmed, you will be the first to know!

What is The Outpost?

The Outpost is a multi-functional outdoor activity centre with high ropes, laser clay pigeon shooting, a challenge course, and much more. The site will be accessible to everyone from schools to early years settings, from businesses to the general public.

Who is running The Outpost?

The Outpost is brought to you by the Reading Play Service at Reading Borough Council. Along with activities and events presented by Reading Play, we will also be working with external partners to deliver a wide breadth of activities. The Outpost increases our ability to provide play opportunities and activities to the people of Reading and beyond.

So there is something for everyone at The Outpost!

What types of activities will be at The Outpost?

The centre will be delivering a wide selection of activities with the key focus on educational learning and improvement. This will be both for universal groups, as well as specific one to one support work. There will be a range of areas where the general public can access for leisure purposes. These will include:

  • Laser Clay
  • High Ropes
  • Archery
  • Mini Golf
  • Team Challenge
  • Outdoor Actvity & Nature Area
